Fall Themed Cake Smash [Essex NJ First year photos, cake smash]

So my little 4 pound newborn has grown sooooo much this year. Here he is at his newborn shoot. I was so excited and shocked when mom called me for his cake smash. I couldn't believe it had been a year since he was born and I also couldn't believe his was 24 pounds!!! He was so adorable today and as you can see he LOVED his cake, we had to stop him from eating more.

Braving the cold [Essex NJ Family Photographer]

Gotta love NJ and it's wacky weather. Last week we saw some flakes, two days ago it was 61 at 8pm and today of course it was windy and chilly. Regardless M and his family rocked their shoot!!!

It seems like yesterday that I was photographing little B's big brother, crazy thing is that they look alike too!!! She gave me lots of chances to snuggle this morning so that certainly made me happy. She had lots of smiles for us which I captured in one of my first clicks. LOVE IT!!!

6 day old chunker [Essex NJ Newborn Photographer]

So cute, he was "short" but chunky and I loved every minute of snuggle time we had, which wasn't much cause he was such a good sleeper. He was as strong as his cousin who pulled off the same pose with hands on chin. Dad is a superman fan and was my super assistant today while mom got some much needed rest. Enjoy the sneak peak!!! Fabulous Family of Five [Union NJ Family Photographer]

We couldn't have asked for a more perfect day for family photos. It wasn't like this last year because one year ago, Hurricane Sandy had hit us really hard. We were reminded of the storm by all the trees in the reservation that were down. Yes it gave us for some convenient places to sit for photos but in the back of my mind I kept thinking about last year at this time. Well, fortunately the children were able to celebrate Halloween and this family was lucky enough to have their family photos done in November. Oh, and these kids...FABULOUS!!!!!

18 days new...[Union NJ Newborn Photographer]

This little guy was 18 days old when we met today. Mom and dad were sick and had to delay the session but baby J knew that they really wanted this and was so good for his session!!! Congrats to the new parents and their families.

Finally back to family sessions. I have had three newborns this past week. Anyway, these three boys are really brothers. Loving and fighting all in the same breath, BUT so much fun because it reminded me of home with my two boys. Anyway, got them to sit and play and even smile too. Enjoy the sneak peak. xoxoxo

Well here he is, as I quote from mom "I hope you have a wide angle lens and he was 10lb 10oz" I had such a good time snuggling with this little chubster. His big sister loves him so much and she and I even had a great time this morning. Enjoy your sneak peak. xoxoxo

Three weeks old and he is the third [Bergen NJ Newborn Photographer]

So even at three weeks old little L was a great sleeper. A little suck of the paci and back to sleep he went each time. Here he is with his big brother and sister and then giving us a little smile. Special thanks to my husband who came to the rescue this morning....

My Three Sons [Bergen NJ Newborn Photographer]

And then there were three boys. Three pairs of muddy cleats, messy faces, race cars, buzz light year wings and lots of love. I can't wait to watch these boys grow up. I had the honor of capturing their latest newborn this morning and let me tell you how fabulous they all were. Mom and I chatted the whole time while the little guy slept and startled and slept and startled and slept and startled with every click of the camera and switch of the hat. It was kinda funny to us as experienced moms. Regardless we pulled it off and here are a few of the my favorites; classic and simple. I love the jerseys that mom had made.

Best Gift Ever [Essex NJ Newborn Photographer]

Not only has this friend opened her home to her college roommate but she gifted her a newborn session with Becca Kaye Photos. What a special bond between friends and it was truly heartwarming. We had a great morning despite moms sleepless night. Baby E was such a pleasure to snuggle and pose this morning.

Family time in my favorite spot [Essex NJ Family Photographer]

Bribe the kids, kiss your hubby and I will see you soon! That's the last text I sent the mom on the way to their shoot. It certainly worked because we had a great time and looking at these photos, that's all anyone would think. These two little ones were laughing and playing the whole time.

Back to work on Labor Day [Essex NJ Newborn Photographer]

On this fabulous but gloomy labor day morning I was lucky enough to spend time with family of a close friend. Today I met Baby D at 5 days old. He joined two big sisters and two loving parents. All I felt was love in their home. I had to use the football hat with the starting of the NFL season this week. This little guy is beyond lucky and so was I this morning because he was a great sleeper!!!
